Today we set out to go crazy shopping at the big Uniqlo in Kawasaki. It was their first anniversary and everything was 10% off. I bought 5 pairs of pants, 6 shirts, and a bunch of other stuff. I had to have my pants hemmed up, so I had to pick it up the next day or so.
We went to the food court to have lunch a quick lunch afterwards before we headed home to drop off the stuff. We went to a Japanese-styled steak place.
My friend ordered a Chicken steak,
and I ordered a beef hamburger steak.
Then we went home to drop off the big bags of stuff and we headed to the bookstore in Shinjuku. I bought a couple books about Japanese slang words.
We wandered around the area for a while deciding what we wanted to eat. We finally came across this Japanese restaurant which was upstairs. At first we were reluctant to try it because they didn’t seem to have an English menu, but we were hungry and tired and it was late.
Most of the food they offered was sashimi, and as starters they gave us:
Some kind of jelly and a dish of scallops
and we ordered:
Fresh Kiwi Sour – very interesting drink because you actually squeeze kiwi puree and add it to the drink which makes it taste very good 
Baked Hokkaido Crab in white cream sauce with Pasta – the cream sauce was light, and the crab was very good, too bad it wasn’t a larger order 
Raw Horse Sashimi – very interesting, have never had it before, and it was actually pretty common in Japan to eat horse meat, so I had to try it. It tasted ok, but had a weird flavor to it, not my favorite. I think I prefer raw beef, but this was still good. 
Small Assorted Sashimi – very fresh and good 
some kind of Fish Sushi – tasted ok as long as you took out that leaf thing between the fish and the rice. 
Medium Assorted Sashimi – yes, we were that hungry
