We went over to Shinjuku in the morning because I had to get my parents some things over at Isetan. So while we were there, we went to their restaurant Isetan Dining upstairs to have lunch.

They had a long glass window with all the plastic food displayed nicely.

I ordered a Ground Beef Steak Set with Rice Omelet which came with soup, salad and desert.

My friend ordered a Seafood Spaghetti with soup, salad and desert.

And we shared a Fresh Shrimp Cake Cutlet.

After we were done eating, we walked out of the department store and saw a Ferrari and Lamborghini parked outside.
We then went home to drop off the stuff. On the train, I saw this person who is sleeping on the train – to the extreme. Haha had to take a pic!
At night, we went back to Shinjuku to have dinner at the Park Hyatt Hotel. We took the train to the Noborito station to transfer to the Shinjuku station, and then we took a 5 minute taxi ride to arrive at the Park Hyatt Tokyo.
We had dinner at the New York Grill which was on the 52nd floor and was very nicely decorated. Here’s a review I found online about the restaurant:
Frommer's Review:
“On the 52nd floor of Tokyo's most exclusive hotel, the New York Grill has remained the place to dine ever since its 1994 opening; some swear it's the most sophisticated restaurant in all of Japan. Surrounded on four sides by glass, it features stunning views (especially at night), artwork by Valerio Adami, live jazz in the evenings, and a 1,600-bottle wine cellar (with an emphasis on California wines). The restaurant backs up its dramatic setting with generous portions of steaks, seafood, and other fare ranging from delectable roast duck to rack of "certified organically raised" lamb, all prepared in an open kitchen. Both the set lunch and the weekend and holiday brunches are among the city's best and most sumptuous (reservations required) -- and are great options for those who don't want to pawn their belongings to eat dinner here. I wouldn't miss it.”
From Yahoo.com:
“It takes but one step inside to realize why Hotel magazine calls this "one of the ten great hotels of the world." Located on the 52nd floor of the Shinjuku Park Tower, it, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, affords spectacular views of downtown Tokyo. Massive Italian paintings, vaulted ceilings and leather cushioned chairs add to the "wow-factor." Not to be outdone, the kitchen serves a spectacular continental menu with such dishes as steak tartar (JPY4,000), grilled veal scallopini (JPY5,000) and plenty of seafood options as well. The wine list features only California vintages.”
From metropolis.co.jp:
“Floating 52 stories above the skyline on the top of the Park Hyatt Tokyo, this award-winning restaurant offers New York-style dining at its finest. In fact, with its floor-to-ceiling city views, live jazz and decadent dark-wood decor, New York Grill and Bar may even trump the real thing. Tokyoites in the know flock here for sirloin steak with garlic mashed potatoes (¥4,200), steamed clams with lemongrass, coriander and chili (¥2,700), and 1,600 California wines. The separate bar, flanked by murals of Radio City Music Hall and the Rainbow Room, is sure to satisfy even the most discerning of displaced New Yorkers.”

Anyways, we got bread,
I ordered a glass of Kung Fu Girl Riesling, Columbia Valley, 2006
We both ordered the dinner set menu – "Central Park" which included:
Marinated Hiramasa with Cucumber, Lime and Chablis – excellent when you roll the cucumber into fish before you put it in your mouth
Lentil and Chestnut Soup, Warm Foie Gras Royale – interesting texture, great combination with the soup
Grilled “Kami-Furano” Ribeye with Pied Bleu Mushrooms, Onions and Green Peas – very tender and extremely flavorful, cooked just right – medium.
We ordered an extra side order of Mashed Potatoes
And a side order of Sautéed Organic Spinach
Bitter Chocolate Mousse and Clotted Vanilla Cream with Berry Compote – ate the whole thing. Not sweet at all.
Coffee or Tea (Of course I ordered Iced Lemon Tea. Duh.)

OBVIOUSLY the dinner was great. Best steak I have had in a while, and definitely better than most places in the US. The view was awesome from the 52nd floor. You definitely get a great view of Shinjuku. We took the taxi home afterwards.

First I left home and went to Harajuku first to pick up a few things like T-shirts for my friends at the UT shop and phone straps on the street. Then I was hungry by the time I was done so I went to have lunch at the Wolfgang Puck Express.
The lunch menu was simple so I ordered the lunch special:
As usual – Iced Lemon Tea
Salad
Ham and Tomato Penny Pasta
Then I left Harajuku and went to Isetan in Shinjuku to buy a bunch of snacks and cookies. While I was at the Morozoff counter, I bought 2 little cups of Japanese egg custard.
Then I went to back to Royce in Shibuya to get a few more items. While I was there, I remembered the 1st day of the event, there were many people standing in line at this stand so today since there wasn’t much of one, I went over to get some. It turned out to be very similar to the Japanese egg custard that I got from Morozoff at Isetan in Shinjuku but I think they made it with fresh milk and they only have a limited supply of 1,000 bottles a day. No wonder there was such a long line. It was also packaged nicely in a milk-bottle shaped container.
…and added it to my collection of “Results of shopping”.
At night we went over to the Lazona Plaza at Kawasaki again so I could buy my little toy car solar turntable. For dinner, it took us a long time again to decide what we wanted, and we finally settled on this all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant.
For 2,480 yen, you have 2 hours time and you get unlimited food and drinks (excluding alcoholic beverages) which wasn’t a bad deal. The coolest part was that the plate you use to get your food has 9 little sections, so you can get 9 types of different food and not have them all mixed up when your plate is full.

They do serve quite a few traditional Japanese items including desert, along with westernized items. They had things like pizza, fish & chips, ground beef steak, fried chicken, Japanese fish cake in soup, Japanese flavored spaghetti, potato salad, spring rolls, fried rice, mushrooms, Japanese jelly and Japanese yogurt just to name a few.
Overall the food was very good and interesting. Nicest part again is the plate. Excellent idea.
